30th Dec 2020 update:
All is going to plan. Tooling at the factory has commenced. I'm told I'll get the first sample in 8 days. Full production will run after my inspection. They will be expressed couriered to me in the week or so following. Then posting locally. So about 16 to 20days...in your hands!
At near the end of my, Barra swapped 71 Toyota Coaster bus motorhome I thought wouldn't it be nice to show off its new heart and all my hard work with a new shiny vehicle emblem emblazed on its sides. The Barra 4.0 Turbo Coaster bus! I went looking for an eBay badge special. There were none to be found...huh.
Wait...I make things, why not make some, why not sell some!?
I was about to make a prototype and thought? Oh dear, the word "Barra" is probably owned by the FORD Motor Company.. D'oh. I'd better check the legality of this. I don't want FORD lawyers chasing me.
To my surprise and a little excitement, Ford had let "Barra" lapse in 2012. A lengthy enough period of time for there to be no reclaim to the name... oooh. Could I become the Barra King of Australia! or the World!
I got straight on it and started the pre-assessment process from IP Australia/NZ. One-on-one communication with one of their professional IP assessors. - Ok not that thrilling, but in the end, with a little tweak, I now had IP priority on the Trademark "Barra" for Emblems for Vehicles Made of Metal! (Class 6.) pending.. Woohoo!! Not world-dominating but enough.
As a side note (Class 12) 'motor vehicles' "Barra" is owned by another Australian caravan/vehicle maker since FORD let it go.
I've spent a month working on the designs. Crafting my own unique typography. I studied design, worked in the industry for decades and logo design was my specialty.
Then Dec 1st 2020, I nervously slipped my designs on a Barra conversion Facebook thread. Into the FIRE, a Barra dragon's den!
I was prepared for some push back... but not this...
My post is going gangbusters, 60 comments, 140 comments, 300 plus comments. All positive! They loved it!
UPDATE DEC 2nd
I'm starting the quoting rounds. I trying to make them in Australia?, but we'll have to see what quality factories can offer...
Watch this space for more updates.

UPDATE 7th Dec:
Design improvements. I took on your feedback and recognized the colours wouldn't suit all vehicles. So I decided it is best to make the majority of the wording in Polished chrome and the "4.0" with infill colour. (I may make a choice of infill)
I also improved the 3D contours. it will now feature a convex face greatly improving light reflection and OEM look.
UPDATE 16th DEC.
Factory sourced and order placed! Size is set to 220mm. Bigger and bolder. Plus I will let you choose your preferred colour set. Red, Black or Blue.
Place your order and I'll ask for a colour choice before shipping.,
